Nominator's project description
| Professor Richard Haglund's research is built around the general theme of laser interaction with materials, the primary focus being on ultrafast pulse laser interaction with surfaces, molecules on surfaces, and nanostructures. He is specifically concerned with the microscopic mechanisms of these interactions and with significant applications. In Marburg, he will work in the newly established "Center for Optical Dynamics" focusing on organic materials, whereas in Konstanz his interest will be devoted to the synthesis of nanostructures and their optical properties. |
